Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. She was born on 11th November, 1966. Her debut in a feature film was in a minor part on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donnevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Photographer approached Doody Doody began to model, which turned into a career in commercial modelling. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles that was a rule she incorporated into her acting. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part in the film Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She also appeared alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam known as the Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. She then played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 with a minor performance on The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody's roles include a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust, and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She was also to be the main character on The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
